| Description |
MAP - KLAL - PN159 is an amphiphilic cell penetrating peptide (CPP) that can be used as a cargo delivery system across cell membranes and to study intracellular processes. This lysine-rich peptide is able to translocate through the cell membrane and facilitate the delivery of various cargoes such as proteins, peptides, antibodies, and liposomes. In addition, PN159 peptide was found to be able to modulate tight junctions in intestinal epithelial and blood–brain barrier models. It forms an a-helix and can change its secondary structure to a beta-sheet upon binding to the cell membrane. |
